03

Commercial & Civil Litigation

We represent businesses, organizations and professionals in civil disputes involving contracts, business relationships, fraud, misuse of property and reputation. At the outset, we identify the available remedies, the evidence needed and the result the client is trying to achieve. We then decide whether the matter calls for an early motion, negotiation, trial or enforcement proceedings.

  • Contractual and corporate disputes
  • Shareholder and business-relationship disputes
  • Fraud, misappropriation and recovery claims
  • Defamation and reputational disputes
  • Motions, trials, negotiated resolutions and enforcement

Regulatory, Administrative & Public Law

Our work includes long-standing experience in property-assessment and exemption matters for an institutional client.

  • Regulatory investigations and interim proceedings
  • Administrative appeals and judicial review
  • Advice on fair procedure and statutory authority
  • Negotiated resolution of regulatory disputes

06

Appeals & Judicial Review

We act on civil, labour and administrative appeals and applications for judicial review. We also advise during hearings on issues that may matter if the decision is later challenged.

  • Civil and commercial appeals
  • Judicial review of administrative decisions
  • Statutory appeals
  • Interlocutory and procedural appeals
  • Advice during hearings on issues that may affect an appeal
